Meeting reschedule

Move the meeting. Don't sound like a flake.

RawReply writes reschedule emails that are short, own the conflict, and make it easy to say yes — two concrete times, zero guilt spiral. Paste who it's with and why you're moving it.

Examples

Conflict with another meeting

Before

So so sorry for the late notice!!! Something came up and I unfortunately can no longer make our meeting. Would you be open to rescheduling at some point next week whenever works for you? Again so sorry!!

After

Can we move Thursday's 2pm? A conflict landed on my side. Open to Fri 10–11am or Mon 1–2pm — either works on my end.

Client check-in

Before

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Due to unforeseen circumstances I need to reschedule our upcoming session. Please advise your availability.

After

Need to shift our Tuesday check-in — ok if we do Wed 3pm or Thu 11am instead? Happy to send an updated invite as soon as you pick.

Same-day scramble

Before

Hi! Extremely sorry but I have to cancel today's meeting last minute. Let's find another time soon!

After

Today's 4pm won't work on my side — apologies for the short notice. Can we do tomorrow 9:30am or Friday 2pm?

Questions people ask

How much should I apologize when rescheduling?

Once is enough. Stacked apologies ('so so sorry!!!') make you sound unreliable and make the other person manage your guilt. Own the change, offer times, stop.

Should I explain why in detail?

A short reason helps ('conflict on my side,' 'kid sick,' 'on-site ran long'). A paragraph of personal drama does not. They need a new slot, not your calendar autobiography.

How is this different from declining?

Decline ends the ask. Reschedule keeps the meeting and changes the time. If you're actually pulling out of the project or interview, use the decline generator instead.
